Hybrid Truck Users Forum Rolls Into Atlanta Oct. 27 Led by a Hybrid & Advanced Truck Convoy
Gov declares Hybrid Truck Week in Georgia


Atlanta, Ga. – The world’s cleanest and most efficient big-rig and heavy work trucks will “quietly convoy” into downtown Atlanta October 27th to kick-off a major national gathering of military, industry and fleet leaders who are speeding the production of hybrid and high-efficiency trucks through HTUF – the Hybrid Truck Users Forum (www.htuf.org).

The HTUF™ National Conference and Ride & Drive comes to Atlanta October 27-29, 2009. The hybrid and high efficiency trucks spurred by HTUF cut foreign oil use, reduce air pollution and climate change emissions and create high quality jobs in America by using leading-edge technologies.

The press is invited to take part in several HTUF/Hybrid Truck Week events:
•    A hybrid and clean truck convoy on October 27, starting at 11am at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd., ending at 11:45am at the Georgia World Congress Center
•    The gathering of truck technology experts available during the conference Oct. 27 and 28 at the Georgia World Congress Center
•    The world’s biggest hybrid and high-efficiency truck ride & drive Oct. 29 at Turner Field, 9am to 2pm.

Advanced hybrid electric, hybrid hydraulic, plug in hybrid and electric trucks will take part, as will the manufacturers who build them and national and local leaders -- such as Southern Company, UPS, Coca-Cola -- who use them.
