Meeting News- Lots
of Hybrid Trucks! The final details for the HTUF national
meeting are coming together and we will have an agenda update
soon. The main forum day will feature an update on the Utility
Working Group's multiple hybrid truck purchase, early information
on a market forecast for hybrid trucks now under development,
a study of the value of hybrid designs for refuse truck applications,
briefings on military hybrid projects and the status of commercial
hybrid truck launches. We are also adding transit bus hybrids
to the agenda because of the similarity of drivelines to heavy
trucks. It will be a complete day!
We
are also pleased to say that we will be hosting the biggest
assembly to date of commercial and military medium- and heavy-duty
hybrid trucks available during the ride-and-drive component
of the forum. We have early confirmation of two hybrid electric
Class 7 commercial trucks, two hybrid electric delivery vehicles,
at least two hybrid hydraulic trucks, a next generation hybrid
military HMMWV and COMBATT truck. We expect several additional
trucks beyond this initial list and will have more details
soon. Watch the updates or Website for more. We will also
have more details out soon on the fleet user Working Group
meetings planned for the day before the meeting (October 13).

We are pleased to announce that we’ve arranged for
a special airline discount for attendees coming to HTUF.

fully refundable coach fare or a 5% discount off the lowest
