| Forums
Forums are national gatherings of commercial and military truck users and operators, together with hybrid system developers and suppliers, truck manufacturers and research organizations. They serve as major opportunities to spur action. At Forums participants learn the latest developments in heavy-duty hybrid technology and markets, actually see and drive heavy-duty hybrid vehicles, compare notes with users from other industry segments, and receive progress reports on HTUF’s commercialization efforts.
The
2008 National Conference in South Bend will be our 8th. To date HTUF
has sponsored and staged seven National Forums, including our 2007 meeting
in Seattle in September 2007 (Read
meeting report). We've attached the agenda from each to give
you a glimpse of the activities that take place. The 2007 National Meeting
took place in Seattle (Seattle
agenda) and was hosted by PACCAR Inc. and Eaton Hybrid Power Systems.
The 2006 National Meeting was staged in San Diego (San
Diego agenda), the 2005 National Forum was held in Toledo, Ohio
and in Southern Michigan/Ottawa Lake (Toledo/Ottawa
Lake agenda), the fourth took place in Kalamazoo, MI in October
2004 (Kalamazoo
agenda), the third took place in San Antonio in October 2003 (San
Antonio agenda), Each Forum was sponsored by a major hybrid developer, together with the National Automotive Center (NAC) and others, and featured technology briefings, ride-and-drives as well as “off-the-clock” networking. At the Chattanooga Forum, the Working Group effort was launched. These groups will be reporting their progress at the each Forum. In 2004, the Utility Working Group announced its 24 pre-production truck deployment. For more information on sponsoring a Forum, please contact Debby Dubose at CALSTART. |
