Please mark your calendars today and plan to attend the 2008 HTUF National Conference.  The dates are mid-October (14-16) in historic South Bend, Indiana.  We are pleased to announce that Bosch Rexroth will serve as our host for an expanded three-day HTUF conference, featuring hybrid education sessions, truck and system maker product briefings, the latest field test results, military developments and market information, and the world's biggest medium- and heavy-duty hybrid ride and drive.

Registration and hotel information will be available shortly.  However, here's a preview of what's coming!  The 2008 HTUF National Conference will build on the success of our previous gatherings, providing focused vehicle working group meetings as well as OEM briefings to provide you with information you need to better understand the capability of emerging hybrid technologies.  If you don’t quite understand how this technology works, we’ll be offering a Hybrid Truck 101 briefing to give you the background you need to ask the questions and make the key decisions for your fleet.

And, of course, we’ll have a day of briefings from truck manufacturers, system providers, fleet managers, military developers and policy experts to provide you with insight on the implementation of hybrid and more efficient truck technologies.

The Ride & Drive promises to have more vehicles than ever before, including the possibility of hybrid trucks from Europe.  Bosch Rexroth’s state-of-the-art test track offers excellent space to test vehicle acceleration and regenerative braking.

As fuel prices rise, the benefits and cost-effectiveness of hybrid  and more efficient technologies continue to improve.  The 2008 HTUF National Conference is where the information you need is available and where you can interact with the leaders in the industry.
