A one day event plans to explore hydrogen internal combustion engine (HICE) applications in some depth through briefings and a workshop with a goal to lay out prudent near term opportunities for HICE technology. This symposium will help to formulate options for paths forward that can support the transition to hydrogen.

The intent is also to offer reviews of U.S. HICE and HCNG-ICE activities to foster greater coordination and collaboration among Federal agencies supporting these technologies, commercial suppliers to encourage further HICE work and to grow interest from the commercial users and communities in hydrogen fuel for transportation. This one-day event brings together experts within federal and state government agencies, the military and private industry to share information about projects and a portfolio of innovative approaches surrounding the use of hydrogen and hydrogen-blend fuels for use with internal combustion engines. By spotlighting this one possible bridging path for the transition from today’s transportation fuels to tomorrow’s hydrogen-based vision benefits may well accrue for light-duty vehicles and heavy duty vehicles.

This call for papers seeks to offer a forum for pertinent projects. This is an opportunity for specialists to provide project status details and papers for attendee consideration on particular subjects and funded efforts relating to HICE and HCNG fuel use as well as private sector activities. The posters are presented in concurrent displays and need to satisfy the Poster Guidelines.

Please submit an abstract per the following deadline for consideration. If accepted you will be notified and provided Poster Guidelines to prepare your poster presentation. Poster boards are limited so prompt abstract submission is requested.
