As part of the ongoing HTUF activities funded by TARDEC-NAC, money is available to help military fleets acquire medium- and heavy-duty hybrid trucks. These funds will be used to help pay the incremental costs for the hybrid technology.
The Hybrid Truck Users Forum (HTUF), in association with the U.S. Army’s Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) and their National Automotive Center (NAC), is initiating a new working group that aims to deploy commercially-available non-tactical hybrid trucks into military fleets. This new group joins other HTUF efforts focused on refuse trucks, parcel delivery trucks, construction equipment, shuttle buses, and plug-in hybrids.
