CODA Automotive will soon deliver the first CODA 2012 all-electric sedans to their owners. And, there’ll be a lot to talk about as these clean vehicles hit the road. “Since day one, CODA has been committed to delivering affordable and reliable electric vehicles and clean technology to our customers,” says Phil Murtaugh, CEO, CODA Holdings. It definitely appears that the CODA 2012 will live up to that commitment.

Rather than range anxiety, the CODA 2012 provides range envy. There are two battery options – a 31 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 125 miles, and another battery option that provides a range of up to 150 miles. The 31 kWh option delivers nearly four times the average daily commute. And the fast and easy 6.6kW onboard charger provides a 100-mile charge in as few as four hours.
CODA believes in giving the drivers what they what, which is why the CODA 2012 is the first electric 5-passenger sedan, with a full-size trunk.
Technology is key and the CODA 2012 is powered by a safe and efficient lithium-iron phosphate (liFePo4) battery pack. The vehicle includes an active air thermal management system that keeps the battery at the optimum temperature, regardless of weather.
CODA Automotive believes in the quality of this vehicle so strongly that it comes with a
10-year/100,000-mile limited battery warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty and a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty.
Perhaps most exciting of all is that, after federal and state tax savings and credits, the price can be as low as $27,250 in California.
It’s natural that CODA Holdings is able to offer a quality vehicle, given its two other business arms. CODA EV Propulsion is all about batteries and the newly announced, CODA Energy, provides scalable, flexible and reliable battery storage systems.
