The Summit is but one part of the umbrella CALSTART US-China Clean Truck and Bus Forum. The Forum’s goal is to encourage cooperation and foster partnerships in China’s clean truck and bus industry. Other activities include:
- a series of webinars, some on doing business in China and on intellectual property rights have already been completed (available at www.chinacleantruck.org), with more scheduled for 2012
- a very successful trip to China by CALSTART members, where they met with US Government officials and representatives of US companies already doing business there
- the development by the end of 2012 of a first-ever China Clean Truck and Bus Markets and Business Guide for US companies, which will include information on market volumes, major industry players, trends, and key drivers
