US-China Summit Nears

The CALSTART US-China Clean Truck and Bus Summit is a first of its kind two-day event, with an optional third day for technology tours, focused on bringing together a small, select group of US and Chinese industry and government leaders in the growing clean technologies and fuel market. The Summit will be held Beijing on October 30 through November 1.

The Summit is but one part of the umbrella CALSTART US-China Clean Truck and Bus Forum. The Forum’s goal is to encourage cooperation and foster partnerships in China’s clean truck and bus industry. Other activities include:
- a series of webinars, some on doing business in China and on intellectual property rights have already been completed (available at www.chinacleantruck.org), with more scheduled for 2012
- a very successful trip to China by CALSTART members, where they met with US Government officials and representatives of US companies already doing business there
- the development by the end of 2012 of a first-ever China Clean Truck and Bus Markets and Business Guide for US companies, which will include information on market volumes, major industry players, trends, and key drivers
