More on the Employment Training Panel (ETP)
The Employment Training Panel (ETP) is a business and labor supported state agency that funds employer-customized, job-specific training delivered to full-time employees using a pay-for-performance contract structure.
ETP funded training topics, plans and specific schedules are driven by the employer’s self-defined training needs.
- Funded training may be delivered using any combination of internal or external training provider, including training –the-trainer models, lead staff instructors, third party vendors, public/private universities, or community colleges.
- Training delivery method includes: traditional classroom, simulated laboratory production, video-conference formats and on a limited basis, on-the-job training.
Reimbursement amounts average from $1,800 to $3,600 per trainee, with the actual amount of reimbursement based upon the number of training hours delivered. Currently all standard ETP contracts are capped at $500,000 per fiscal year. ETP Staff provides comprehensive technical assistance in the development and monitoring of approved training contracts and there is no cost for these services.
