CY Wang, ROC USA Business Council Vice Chair, on the importance of cutting carbon emissions, the advantages of Taiwan's size in the areas of research and development, and the potential to expand Taiwan and US partnerships in developing electric vehicles, including heavy-duty EVs.


TAIFE 2010 took place in June at the Hyatt Long Beach. More than 100 representatives from Taiwanese and American firms met to discuss the great potential for commercial partnerships in clean transportation technology, especially energy storage for electric vehicles (EVs) and auto safety equipment.


One attendee at TAIFE 2010 in Long Beach, a gathering of Taiwanese and American companies, called the more than 50 one-on-one meetings as "speed dating for innovators." These are companies working on energy storage, batteries, and toher high tech equipment for the automotive and heavy-duty electric vehicle markets.
