Adoption and use of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) can be significantly encouraged by ensuring the development of appropriate workplace charging.  Little attention has been given to workplace charging, often considered in third place in terms of priority behind home and public charging infrastructure.  Recently, many stakeholders have begun emphasizing workplace charging as the most important secondary charge point after residential charging, especially in the early years when public infrastructure can be costly to install or upgrade, and slow to roll out.

The Workplace Charging Workshop will provide insight into why workplace charging is essential and what the opportunities are for employers, employees and other stakeholders.  Additionally, it will explore the necessary policies, funding, industry and government support needed to accelerate workplace charging infrastructure.

The US-China Clean Truck and Bus Summit 2013

The US-China Clean Truck and Bus Summit 2013

October 22-24
Shanghai, China

The US-China Clean Truck and Bus Summit 2013, building on the great collaboration and networking success of the first Summit in Beijing in 2012, is poised to reach greater heights as we gather for our second annual forum in October in Shanghai, China.  With an expanding subject matter focus, the 2013 Summit explores topics in natural gas, electric, hybrid electric and clean diesel technologies in medium and heavy-duty vehicles and buses.

The Summit is dedicated to bringing together a select, exclusive group of US and Chinese leaders in a growing market: advanced clean technologies for commercial medium and heavy-duty trucks and buses.

The two-day Summit (with an optional third day for technology tours and one-on-one company meetings) provides an exclusive opportunity to US and Chinese attendees and sponsors to develop and expand business opportunities. This Summit is a small, targeted, interactive event where select high-level industry stakeholders and policymakers will explore opportunities for business partnerships around advanced technologies in China’s truck and bus sector.

Build your trip to China.  Register today and participate with us in Shanghai.  The benefits are tremendous for companies desiring to grow their international market. For further information or questions, please contact Susan Romeo at sromeo@calstart.org
