 CALSTART Hosts IVLP Group

The U.S. Department of State launched the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in 1940 to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other nations through carefully designed short-term visits to the U.S. for current and emerging foreign leaders.  Since its inception, more than 326 current and former Chiefs of State and Heads of Government, thousands of cabinet-level ministers have participated.

On August 25, CALSTART was pleased to host a group of International Visitors from South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka). Together they explored the subject, Climate Change and Clean Energy, focusing specifically on the roles that the public, private, and academic sectors play in protecting the environment.
