BAE Systems offers a family of proven, heavy-duty hybrid-electric products to meet propulsion and power management needs. A new product from BAE Systems is its HybriDrive® family of heavy-duty electric propulsion systems, which lower emissions, while increasing fuel and energy savings. Applications include hybrid construction, utility, refuse and delivery trucks. The HybriDrive® Parallel is a single electric machine that is integrated with the engine and transmission and is available in five configurations.

BAE Systems also offers their HybriDrive® Series for transit bus, which powers the world’s largest hybrid bus fleet. Buses with HybriDrive® currently carry over 2,000,000 passengers a day and have saved more than 25,000,000 gallons of diesel fuel.

At HTUF 2011, October 10-13, in Baltimore, BAE will be available to demonstrate these systems on a one-on-one basis. For more information, visit: http://www.hybridrive.com/ and http://www.htuf2011.org.
