The event runs from Nov 12 through the 15th, Fred will be speaking at 10:45 AM on Thursday within the Innovative Clean Transit session.

Fred Silver, CALSTART Vice President and Bus Lead, has been selected to moderate a panel at the California Transit Association's 53rd Annual Fall Conference in Long Beach, CA. The panel, titled "ZEB Regulations: Impact on Operations", will be focused on addressing frequently identified barriers to the deployment of Zero Emission Buss (ZEBs): energy and infrastructure costs. Experts on localized storage of electricity and load management techniques will weigh in on the cost issues at hand.

Alycia Gilde, CALSTART Director, presented at the Southeast Alternative Fuel Corridor Convening at the Charles Harbor Resort & Marina. She spoke during the introduction as well as served as the moderator for the panel titled: "Filling the Gap: Strategy, Technology, and Partnership for Infrastructure Development." The focus of the discussion was the identifying and address the challenges and best practices for the planning and implementation of alternative fuel corridors. Technology and fuel suppliers, utilities, government and fleets shared perspectives on how to "fill the infrastructure gap."

Maureen Marshall, CALSTART Midwest Director, will be presenting at a Midwest Green Fleets event in Columbus, Ohio at 1 PM Eastern. The title of the panel is "The Advanced Technology Toolbox: What Transportation Professionals Need to Know Today about NGVs, Propane, Efficiency, Biofuels, Hydrogen and Plug in-Electric."

Maureen Marshall will be presenting on the emerging micro-grid market and providing for an understanding of the basics of solar, energy storage, energy management techniques and auxiliary power systems that can combine to support the needs of larger electrified fleets. The panel that Maureen is a part of will also discuss the business case for micro-grid investments.

Ben Mandel and Dan Welch lead a meeting of the NY EV Workplace Charging Working Group, hosted by NYC Dept of Transportation. The EV Workplace Charging Working Group is a core component of the outreach strategy for CALSTART's Charge to Work NY program, a first-of-its-kind EV Workplace Charging initiative to increase the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the greater New York City area. The EV Workplace Charging Working group will meet periodically to review outreach progress and help to hone the project's outreach and marketing strategy.

Ben Mandel spoke at Con Edison's EV Collaborative in NYC on Charge to Work NY. Charge to Work is a first-of-its-kind EV Workplace Charging initiative to increase the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in the greater New York City area. Charge to Work encompasses a multifaceted, three-year marketing and outreach campaign that seeks to engage over 100 businesses to encourage employees to replace their conventional gasoline vehicles with clean and highly-efficient EVs.

Tom Brotherton spoke at the North American Fleet Association (NAFA) 2018 Institute & Expo in Anaheim, CA. Tom moderated a session titled "All Charged Up: Planning your EV Infrastructure". The session presented issues and solutions associated with providing the infrastructure needed to support electric vehicles.
