The all-day event hosted 200 transportation professionals including public agencies (UDOT, UTA, MPOs and several municipalities), consultants, academia, students, and vendors. ITE is comprised of local transportation engineers, planners, and other professionals responsible for the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of Utah’s transportation system.

Mary D. Nichols, Chair, California Air Resources Board.  Serving as Chair since 2007, Nichols has devoted her entire career to advocating for the environment and public health. She values innovation, partnerships, and common-sense approaches to addressing California's air issues. Her priorities as Chair include moving ahead on the State's landmark climate change program (AB 32), steering the Board through numerous efforts to curb diesel pollution at ports, and continuing to pass regulations aimed at providing cleaner air for Southern California and the San Joaquin Valley. Nichols has also served as Assistant Administrator for US Environmental Protection Agency's Air and Radiation program under President Clinton, Secretary for California's Resources Agency from 1999 to 2003, and Director of the Institute of the Environment at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Tom Baloga, Senior Director and Head of the Sacramento Government Affairs Office for Audi of America. Prior to Audi, Tom had retired in December 2012 from BMW as, concurrently, VP of Engineering US, President of BMW Technology Corporation, and VP Engineering Quality and Safety. During 35+ years in the auto industry, Baloga was also President of Britax Child Safety, Manager of Safey Engineering for Mercedes-Benz, and a Senior Test Engineer for Mack Trucks. He holds 8 US patents for child safety and received his mechanical engineering degree from Penn State University.

Michael Baltes, Director, Infrastructure and Asset Innovation, Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Prior to his current position, Baltes served as the Intelligent Transportation Systems Program Manager within FTA's Office of Research. Before that, he worked as Senior Research Faculty at the Center for Urban Transportation Research in Tampa, Florida for 15 years. Then, Baltes spent 15 months at Mitretek (now Noblis) Systems in Washington, D.C. Collectively, he has almost 30 years of professional experience in multi-modal transportation/transit research, planning, technology, and project management and development. Baltes is widely published in transportation-related journals, periodicals, and other publications. He has authored dozens of technical reports. He is a member of several Transportation Research Board committees and serves on APTA's BRT Task Force. Baltes holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Florida, Tampa.

Victoria Beasley, Senior Associate and Investor, Prelude Ventures. Beasley leads transportation efforts for Prelude, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm investing in the low-carbon economy. Prelude's transportation investments include QuantumScape, an EV battery manufacturer; ClearMetal, a provider of predictive analytics for shipping containers; and two early-stage sensing and imaging technology companies. Beasley started her career in finance ten years ago and has both operating and advisory experience. Prior to Prelude, she worked on climate change startegy at BCG and started an agriculture supply chain company. Earlier, she was Director of Finance at a major solar manufacturer. She began her career in investment banking at Cary Street Partners. Beasley holds an MBA and MS from Stanford University, where she was an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow, and holds a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

John Boesel, President and CEO, CALSTART. Upon graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, Boesel worked in the California legislature as an aide to then Assemblyman (now Congressman) Sam Farr, where he managed energy and environmental legislation for nearly four years. He received his MBA from the Haas School at UC Berkeley. Boesel then worked as a commercial banker at Wells Fargo's corporate headquarters in San Francisco. In 1993, he joined CALSTART as the Vice President of technology programs. In 2001, the Board of Directors promoted him to President and CEO. Boesel serves on the Advisory Board of the Precourt Energy Efficiency Center at Stanford University and is a board member of the Clean Vehicle Foundation.

Drew Bohan, Executive Director for the California Energy Commission. Prior to joining the Energy Commission, Bohan served in a number of capacities in state government, including as Assistant Secretary for Policy for the California Environmental Protection Agency, Deputy Cabinet Secretary at the Governor's Office, Executive Policy Officer for the Ocean Protection Council and Chief Counsel for the Department of Conservation. Prior to joining state service, Bohan was Executive Director of Santa Barbara Channelkeeper, Chief Counsel to the House of Delegates in the Republic of Palau, and litigation attorney at Heller, Ehrman in San Francisco.

April Bolduc, EV Customer Engagement Manager, San Diego Gas & Electric. Bolduc focuses on creating strategies that inspire customers to drive electric and participate in the utility's numerous EV programs. She is currently working with her team to install 3,500 EV charging stations at apartments and workplaces. These stations have a first-of-it-kind hourly rate that takes advantage of renewable energy. For the past five years, Bolduc has been helping to coordinate EV Day San Diego -- named by Plug In America as the largest EV day event in the world for two years in a row.

Filip Brabec, Vice President Product Management, Audi of America. Brabec is responsible for product definition and configuration of current models, as well as setting the lineup of future US vehicles in concert with AUDI AG. A leader in product planning for the company since 2006, Brabec now oversees two important arenas. First, he and his staff ensure that information about the current Audi of America product lineup is completely and properly distributed -- an increasingly complex task given the proliferation of new Audi models over the last few years. Second, Brabec works in a highly integrated basis with teams from the parent company in Germany on the development and planning of new products and technologies for future Audi models in the US. After an eclectic youth that included becoming a popular American country music singer in his native Czechoslovakia, and graduating from high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Brabec rose through the ranks of Audi of America in Auburn Hills, Michigan, as a product-planning manager, then at AUDI AG in Germany, before returning to the US in 2005.

Emily Castor, Senior Director of Transportation Policy, Lyft. As a member of the original Lyft team, Castor has been on the front lines of ridesharing policy since the birth of the industry. She works with transportation agencies across the US to integrate Lyft as a viable alternative to car ownership and understand its impacts on infrastructure, behavior, and the environment. She started her career as a transportation policy aide for a US Congresswoman and later served as a financial advisor for municipal infrastructure projects. She holds an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Caroline Choi, Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Southern California Edison. Choi is responsible for the Company's regulatory strategy and policy at the national and state levels, including regulatory affairs, regulatory operations and environmental affairs. Prior to joining SCE in 2012, Choi was Executive Director of Environmental Services & Strategy at Progress Energy. Choi is active in national policy and community engagement, serving as Chair of the Smart Electric Power Alliance and as Board Member of the Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund and the National Forest Foundation. Choi holds a Bachelor's degree in Government from Dartmouth College.

Dr. Giovanni Circella, Director of the 3 Revolutions Future Mobility Program at the Institute of Transportation Studies, University of California, Davis. Dr. Circella currently shares his time between Davis, CA, and Atlanta, GA, where he is a senior research engineer in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests include travel behavior, travel demand modeling, travel survey methods, emerging transportation services, autonomous vehicles, shared mobility and policy analysis. His recent research has focused on, among other topics, the impact of personal attitudes and preferences on travel choices, the impact of shared mobility and ride-hailing services on travel behavior and auto ownership, and the mobility patterns of specific segments of the population in various parts of the world.

Cory Combs, CTO, Ampaire, Inc. At Ampaire we are transforming aviation by designing and building zero emission aircraft. Cory is a serial innovator focused on creating technologies and applications that can efficiently and effectively have a positive impact on the environment. With a US startup company, LP Amina, Cory led R&D efforts in their Beijing office, addressing novel pollution reduction and energy efficiency technologies. Prior to that at Northrop Grumman, Cory was an R&D and new aircraft development engineer, with a primary focus on early-stage research and design and developed multiple patents. Cory holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford.

Kirt Conrad, Executive Director/CEO, Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA). From 1996, Conrad worked for the METRO Regional Transit Authority in Akron as planner, grants manager, and planning director. Since 2009, he has held his current position. SARTA operates 100 buses with 200 employees.Currently, 40 vehicles are powered by CNG and they also operate diesel-electric hybrids, biodiesel, and dual-fuel buses. Together with Ohio State University's Center for Automotive Research, SARTA has launched the Midwest Fuel Cell Center of Excellence funded by the Federal Transit Administration. Conrad received a Bachelor of Political Science from Kent State and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Akron. He recently completed graduate certificate in finance from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in Grenoble, France.

Cedric Daniels, Electric Transportation Manager, Alabama Power Company. Daniels is based in Birmingham and has coordinated electric transportation marketing activities for since 1999. During his 37 years with Southern Company, he worked in power generation, human resources, external affairs, customer service, and marketing. Daniels is constantly engaged with manufacturers, utilities, and research/policy organizations throughout North America. He is responsible for finding ways customers can receive economy, efficiency, and environmental benefits by using electricity as their transportation fuel, whether for on-road, air, rail, or marine use. Daniels serves as the Co-Chair of Electric Power Research Institute's Electric Transportation Infrastructure Steering Committee and on national committees for Edison Electric Institute. He is a Business School graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.

Hector De La Torre, gubernatorial appointee to the California Air Resources Board. De La Torre focuses on goods movement, mitigation in impacted communities, and bringing the benefits of new technologies to these communities. He is the Executive Director of the Transamerica Center for Health Studies, a non-profit focused on empowering consumers and employers to achieve the best value and protection from their health coverage, as well as the best outcomes in their personal health and wellness. DeLa Torre in a member of the Board of Trustees at Occidental College and the Board of L.A. Care, the largest public health plan in the US. He served as a California State Assembly member from 2004-2010.

Bob Devine, Director, Advance Applications, Power and Propulsion Solutions, BAE Systems. Devine has over 31 years of product development experience, including 19 years of program management experience directed toward aerospace and surface vehicle transportation systems and projects. He is currently merging proven hybrid electric propulsion and power management technologies with battery and fuel cell power sources and deploying the integrated solution on zero emissions heavy-duty platforms that include buses, trucks, and maritime vessels. Devine holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Tom Doughty, Vice President, Customer and State Affairs, California Independent System Operator Corporation. Since joining the ISO in 2003, Doughty has held several leadership assignments in the customer care and regulatory affairs areas. Doughty is responsible for the ISO's interactions with California regulatory and governmental bodies and oversees the ISO's customer service, client onboarding and communications functions. Doughty created the ISO's signature event, The Stakeholder Symposium, which is the largest energy event in the west. Now in his fourth decade in the energy industry, Doughty's pedigree also includes executive leadership positions with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, among others. He is a licensed engineer and holds degrees in engineering and business administration from UC Davis and UCLA, respectively.

Julie Furber,  Executive Director, Electrification Business, Cummins. Furber is responsible for Electrification for Cummins -- as markets move to adopt electrified power, she is helping to establish Cummins as a market leader. She joined Cummins in 2005 as Global Finance Director for CGT, based in Stamford, England. In 2008, she relocated to the US, working in Cummins Emission Solutions, responsible for the Global Off-Highway business. Furber has served as PACCAR Integrated Account Management leader and the Executive Director, North American Truck. More recently, she was responsible for Product Planning and Product Management across Engine Business Unit, including the New Product Programs, along with responsibility for market-based innovation and new business incubation. Furber is a qualified accountant and has a Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics from Oxford University. Prior to Cummins, she had 15 years work experience in other industries, including security printing, glass, and food. She held business leadership positions in sales, operations, and finance.

Jennifer Gress, Policy Director for Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg. Gress is responsible for policy development related to housing and community development, transportation, sustainability, and mental health. Prior to her time with the Mayor, Gress served as Legislative Director for the California Air Resources Board, a state agency charged with reducing air pollution and mitigating climate change. She served as the Board's representative to the California Legislature 2011-2017, advised the Board Chair and Executive Office on legislative matters, made policy recommendations to the Chair, Secretary of Environmental Protection, and the Governor's office on pending legislation. From 2005 to 2011, she was a consultant to the State Transportation and Housing Committee where she focused on air quality, port and goods movement, active transportation, public-private partnerships, and many other transportation-related issues. Gress has a Ph.D. in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, where she studied housing and community development.

Christopher Grundler, Director of the Office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ), US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Grundler and a staff of nearly 400 employees strive to protect public health and the environment by reducing air pollution from transportation vehicles, engines, and the fuels used to operate them. They establish and implement national emissions standards for transportation fuels and vehicles, as well as a variety of off-road equipment. OTAQ is also responsible for implementing important aspects of the Energy Independence and Security Act, including establishing national renewable fuel standards. OTAQ is continuously evaluating a wide variety of advanced technology strategies which have the potential to reduce harmful emissions and fuel consumption. Grundler was part of the team that developed the nation's first greenhouse gas emission standards for both light- and heavy-duty vehicles. Grundler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and environmental engineering from the University of Michigan.

Karen Hamberg, Vice President, Strategy, Westport Fuels Systems. Hamberg joined Westport in 2001 and was appointed to her current position in 2013. Westport Fuel Systems engineers, manufactures, and supplies advanced clean-burning engines, systems, and components that enable the deployment of low-carbon fuels, such as CNG, LNG, hydrogen, and renewable natural gas (RNG). Headquartered in Vancouver, Westport serves customers in more than 70 countries with leading global transportation and industrial application brands. Karen's current portfolio includes responsibilities for Corporate Strategy, Market and Competitive Intelligence, Sustainability and Environmental Performance, and Government and Regulatory Affairs. Hamberg holds a Master of Arts from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandon University in Brandon, Manitoba. Karen is also Chair of the Board of Directors of CALSTART, a Board Member of the Van Horne Institute, and a member of the United Way of the Lower Mainland Campaign Cabinet. Karen was named to Canada's Clean 50 for 2017 for her contributions to advance sustainability in the transportation sector.

Stephen Laviers, Executive Director in the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure Team, UBS Investment Bank. In his current position since 2011, Laviers focuses on the renewable energy, clean technology and resource efficiency space. He has worked on a number of M&A and financing transactions, across the full range of renewables and clean technology spectrum, including EVs, semi-conductors, solar, wind, biofuels, biochemicals, energy storage, and smart grid. Laviers acts as Global Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation coordinator across the Investment Bank and also sits on UBS' Global Sustainability Council. He earned a Bachelor of Law Degree with honors in English Law and French Law from the University of Manchester, an MBA in Finance from the London Business School, and a professional diploma in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technology from Stanford University.

Michael Linse, Founder and Managing Director of Linse Capital. Linse Capital invests in late stage technology companies in the transportation space. Prior to founding LInse Capital, Michael was a partner at KPCB for seven years where he invested in sustainable growth businesses like ChargePoint, Proterra, uShip, Telogis, Inrix, and Redaptive. Before joining KPCB, Michael worked at Goldman Sachs for over a decade, most recently as the Managing Director of Goldman Sachs' alternative energy investing team within the London-based European Special Situations Group where he led over 20 investments including Nordex, CMP and IFCO Systems. Michael earned a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Dr. Earl H. Maize, Manager of the Cassini Program. Dr. Maize began at JPL working on the navigation and engineering teams for the Galileo mission to Jupiter. After Galileo's final Earth flyby, he transferred to Cassini as the Spacecraft Operations Manager and then as Deputy Program Manager. He left the project for eight years to hold management positions in Guidance, Navigation, and Control and Avionics, returning to Cassini as Program Manager in 2013. A relocated Northern Californian from Willits, Dr. Maize has worked at the JPL for the past 34 years. He received his bachelor's degree from Pomona College and his doctorate in mathematics from the Claremont Graduate University.

Amy Malaki, Program Manager, ClimateWorks Foundation. The ClimateWorks Foundation supports policies for cleaner and more efficient vehicle and fuel technologies, increased availability and accessibility of transit, biking, and walking, and public support for a transition away from oil and toward low-carbon alternatives. Prior to her position at ClimateWorks, Malaki served on the global development team at Better Place, a Silicon Valley electric vehicle network company, where she was responsible for business development and strategic partnership efforts across Asia. She has several years of experience as a consultant and subject matter expert to top-tier consulting firms where she served Fortune 500 high-tech clients on topics ranging from China market development strategies to supply chain sustainability and data center energy efficiency. Malaki has a B.A. in Chinese and a B.A. in China Studies from the University of Washington and an M.A. in International Policy Studies (Energy and Environment) from Stanford University.

Dr. Matt Miyasato, Deputy Executive Officer for Science & Technology Advancement, South Coast Air Quality Management District. Dr. Miyasato is responsible for the SCAQMD's Technology Advancement Office, Mobile Source Division, and Monitoring and Laboratory Analysis Division. His principal charges are to identify, evaluate and stimulate development and commercialization of clean air technologies, develop and coordinate mobile source regulations, and conduct ambient monitoring, source testing and laboratory analysis. Dr. Miyasato has worked at Southern California Edison in the Nuclear Engineering Department and at General Electric, where he designed burners and combustion modifications for utility boilers. He was also a research scientist at UCI, where he managed the industrial burner research program and has publications on combustion phenomena, active control, and laser diagnostics. Dr.Miyasato received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, and his Masters and Ph.D. in Engineering, specializing in combustion technologies and air pollution control, all from the University of California, Irvine.

Joseph Oldham, Director of CALSTART San Joaquin Valley Clean Transportation Center. Oldham is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and has spent most of his professional life working to improve air quality in the region through deployment of clean energy and clean vehicle technology. When the opportunity to develop a plan to deploy production electric aircraft for the first time in the US in a practical way to support lower cost flight training operations presented itself, Mr. Oldham seized the chance. He developed the plan, and helped organize an amazing team of people from local government, business, and education to make the plan a reality, and wrote the successful grant proposal that secured the funding for the Sustainable Aviation Project. The Project will begin getting the public familiar and comfortable with electric propulsion in aircraft, as a step toward the advanced electric-powered aerial sky taxi vehicles of the future and larger commercial electrically powered aircraft.

Puon Penn, Executive Vice President, Head of Technology Division within Wells Fargo's Strategic Capital Group. The group provides capital investments to help innovative companies focus on advancing new technologies and business models. Puon is a 20-year veteran of Wells Fargo, having done stints in the International Group, Middle Market, Principal Investing, and Corporate Banking's Technology Media & Telecom Group. Puon started Wells Fargo's Global CleanTech Group in 2009 to provide expertise, financial services, and resources to help companies focused on decreasing the use of fossil fuels, fertilizers, industrial chemicals, and other activities that cause greenhouse gas emissions or other harmful environmental effects. Wells Fargo financed over $70 billion for green business, renewable energy projects, green buildings, and clean energy customers from 2005 to 2016.

Scott Phillippi, Senior Director of Maintenance & Engineering, International Operations, UPS. Phillippi manages maintenance and engineering for all international operations and oversees fleet sustainability issues globally. Phillippi began his UPS career in 1988 as a Fleet Technician and has served in fleet maintenance and package delivery operations. He has held senior director positions, responsible for fleet maintenance programs in five states, and as Special Projects Manager was responsible for the cost planning and analysis of the UPS domestic fleet. Phillippi holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science from the Lincoln College of Technology. He has also completed business training programs at Harvard Business School and Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

Marcel Porras, Chief Sustainability Officer, Los Angeles Department of Transportation. Porras directs the City's newly established Shared Mobility Group, including taxis, bike share, car share, ride share, and autonomous and connected vehicles, to ensure that available transportation amenities are maximized in Los Angeles. Most recently, Porras worked in the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti as Associate Director of Transportation, where he worked to develop and implement the Mayor's transportation agenda. Porras is an avid traveler, who has lived and worked in Latin America. These experiences provide him with a unique range of perspectives on cities, urban development, and mobility. He holds a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Latin American Studies.

Edward Randolph, Energy Division Director, California Pubic Utilities Commission (CPUC). Prior to serving in this capactity, Randolph was the CPUC's Director of Governmental affairs and Senior Policy Advisor. He joined the CPUC in 2010 from his position as Chief Consultant to the California State Assembly's Committee on Utilities and Commerce, a position he held since 2003, where he worked extensively on expanding California's use of renewable power, the creation of the California Solar Initiative, and energy efficiency legislation. Prior to that, Randolph served as Senior Consultant to Assemblymember Lloyd Levine, as both Chief of Staff. Randolph earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, and Juris Doctorate degree from the McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with distinction.

Andrew Salzberg, Head of Transportation Policy and Research, Uber. In his current position, Salzberg focuses on making Uber an integral part of the future of urban transportation through research, partnerships, and policy development. He joined Uber in 2013 and became the Senior Operations Manager for New York City, Uber's largest global market, before joining the global policy team. Prior to joining Uber, he worked at the World Bank, supporting public transportation investment projects in East Asia. Salzberg holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from McGill University and a Master in Urban Planning degree from Harvard University.

 Dr. Brien Seeley, Founder, Sustainable Aviation Foundation. Seeley has 40-years of experience as an experimental aircraft builder, pilot, designer of technology prizes and visionary leader of aviation progress. In 1973, while a medical student, he designed and hand-built his own 70 mph, street-licensed electric car and drove it to the hospital each day as an intern. He founded the CAFE Foundation in 1981 and he presided there for 34 years of flight-testing and research on experimental aircraft. Seeley organized the first-ever Electric Aircraft Symposium in San Francisco and program chaired that annual event for nine years. In 2015 Seeley founded the Sustainable Aviation Foundation in order to advance technologies and innovations pertinent to environmentally-friendly, practical electrically-powered aircraft. As President of the Sustainable Aviation Foundation, he now Chairs the Sustainable Aviation Symposium, which each year convenes a globally-renowned faculty to focus on the future of quiet, electrically-powered aircraft.

Dakota Semler, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Thor Trucks, Inc. Semler's passion for clean fuels and experience in fleet operations established the founding vision for Thor Trucks. Dakota's business and leadership aptitude has been realized through successful ventures in hospitality, real estate, and tour operations. Dakota's founding vision for Thor Trucks is to create battery-electric commercial vehicles that achieve performance benchmarks of an existing diesel, accomplish higher levels of reliability, and are, first and foremost, commercially viable without public subsidization. This vision has led Thor Trucks to build its first full battery-electric heavy-duty prototype, to be released in 2017.

Michelle Sim, Clean Transportation Manager, Southern California Gas Company. In her current role, Sim leads business development for natural gas vehicles. Joining SoCalGas in 2013, she has served in various business and policy development roles in the residential, commercial, industrial, and transportation sectors. Sim began her career in energy at the Los Angeles Unified School District, managing an over $86 million utility budget. In 2008 she joined Parsons, working primarily on government contracts with the USPS and the US Army, among other, developing and managing traditional and renewable energy projects. Sim received her BA from the University of California, Berkeley and has also earned her Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, and Certified Demand Side Management certificates from the Association of Energy Engineers.

Dr. Rao Surampudi, Assistant Division Manager, Flight Project Formulation for the Autonomous Systems Division of the JPL.  Dr. Surampudi also managers JPL power technology programs for NASA, DOE, and industry. He has a Ph.D. in chemistry and has more than forty years of research and development and program management experience in various power technologies, such as batteries, fuel cells, photovoltaics, solar thermal, and radioisotope power systems. He played a major role in the development and transition of several primary and rechargeable battery technologies for aerospace applications. Dr. Surampudi was also responsible fore the development of Direct Methanol Fuel Cells for DOD applications. His current technical areas of interest include:  spacecraft power systems, green energy systems, planetary in-situ resource utilization, and biomedical technologies.

Bill Van Amburg, Senior Vice President, CALSTART. Van Amburg leads all advanced commercial vehicle activities at CALSTART, as well as business development, and has 40 years of experience in technology development, commercialization and marketing. He personally leads initiatives in fleet sustainability standards, creating national truck and bus incentives and effective fuel economy regulations. He develops strategy and oversees program teams that operate the national High-Efficiency Truck Users Forum program in partnership with the US Army, the I-710 Zero Emission Drayage Commercialization Plan for LA Metro/Gateway Cities COG, the Hybrid and Zero Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Program for the California Air Resources Board, the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program for NYSERDA, the Chicago Area Alt Fuels Deployment Program with the City of Chicago, the NAFA Sustainable Fleet Accreditation Program for the National Association of Fleet Administrators, and the CLEAN Truck Demonstration Program with the California Energy Commission. Van Amburg holds a degree in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley; is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at UCLA's Anderson School of Management; has a certificate in brand management from Stanford; and serves on the Board of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency.

Mark Wenzel, Ph.D., Climate Change Adviser, California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA). Wenzel has worked on the California cap-and-trade program, zero-emission vehicle policy, and international engagement. Prior to joining CalEPA, he worked for the California Air Resources Board's Office of Climate Change and for US Senator Christopher J. Dodd as the 2006-2007 American Geophysical Union/American Association for the Advancement of Science Congressional Science Fellow. Mark earned a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006.

Daniel Witt, Senior Manager of Business Development and Policy, Tesla, Inc. Witt is a six-year veteran of the company, before which he spent four years in the office of US Senator Diane Feinstein, addressing transportation legislation and a variety of municipal infrastructure and goods movement projects. In his current role, Witt works with legislators, industry partners and other decision-makers to address state and local policy issues, as well as a myriad of business development projects related to the promotion of electric vehicles and renewable infrastructure development. He also co-managed Tesla's site selection efforts for the Gigafactory, the largest battery manufacturing facility in the world. Witt is a graduate of Fordham University.

Takehito Yokoo, Senior Executive Engineer for Advanced Fuel Cell, Toyota NA R&D. Mr. Yokoo's background includes managing suitability testing for advanced powertrain in North America and coordinating development of new or improved alternate powertrain system controls for fuel cell hybrid vehicles, gasoline hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and battery electric vehicles. This activity includes a focus on technologies that enable sustainable transportation systems. Currently, his responsibilities have been expended to include large-scale fuel cell powertrain feasibility in North America. After earning a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hosei University, in Japan, Yakoo began his career at Toyota Motor Corporation in 1981 and moved to Toyota's Los Angeles R&D operations in 1990.

Geri Yoza, Senior Manager, Mirai, Toyota Motor North America Marketing Department. Yoza is responsible for defining and implementing market launch and business plans, including developing and advocating consumer-centric policies and processes, to support Toyota's advanced technology vehicles and expansion of electric drive technology, and the introduction of Toyota's fuel cell vehicle, the Mirai. She has 30 years of experience with Toyota, in the areas of Marketing, Advertising, Environmental Strategy, and Product Planning. As Marketing Product Manager, Yoza played a key role in the launches of the first-gen Prius and the first-gen RAV4 EV. She has a BA and MBA from the University of Chicago.
